Entry Hall Pictures : HGTV Dream Home 2013
About the Entry Hall
Walls painted a soothing shade of coastal blue create a warm welcome in the entry, where a beadboard-clad ceiling lends New England charm. A sisal-style durable hall rug leads to a cozy recessed daybed, where guests may sit and kick off shoes before entering the home's main living space. Floor-to-ceiling curtains, when drawn, create a napping cocoon. This "cozy focal point" and its surrounding accents, says interior designer Linda Woodrum, hint at the home's overall design scheme.

Living Room Pictures : HGTV Dream Home 2013
About the Living Room
To capture the feeling of "beach cottage," interior designer Linda Woodrum focused on casual furnishings, layers of eye catching textures and a neutral color palette that contributes to the room's relaxed "I'm on vacation" vibe. "It's all a foundation to support what's outside," says Linda, who admits that views from the great room's glass walls serve as the real star of the show.

A sleek and sophisticated Zen style kitchen is designed to place focus on meal prep and beautiful marsh views.
About the Kitchen
Interior designer Linda Woodrum's approach to the kitchen was pretty straightforward: "Keep it crisp, clean and simple," she says. "You want to get in there and cook." The Zen design places focus on quality materials, including pure natural quartz countertops and sandblasted oak cabinetry. Major appliances are concealed behind cabinetry, and glass panels installed over white walls replace a traditional tile-clad backsplash.

Inspired by sand, sea and beachcombing adventures, the master bedroom offers a quiet escape from the home's social spaces.
About the Master Suite Bedroom:
"Every HGTV Dream Home 2013 bedroom has a theme," says interior designer Linda Woodrum, who envisioned quiet morning beachcombing strolls when she selected the master bedroom's tone on tone palette and collection of subdued furnishings. Although the great room's drapery fabric is repeated in this space, interior design takes a decided step back. "It's quieter and more serene because it's the home's great escape spot," she adds.
